NFL Latest  : The Seattle Seahawks fired Jim Mora after just one season, the former NFC West champions is living without a coach, general manager, and president less than four years after they appeared in the Super Bowl.

The Seahawks finished 5-11, a one-game improvement over 2008 despite being ravaged by injuries. But in four losses to close the season, the Seahawks were not competitive, losing by a combined score of 123-37. In my opinion, he should go as fast as he can and the team will be better

Verizon Nexus One will be CDMA !

Google has just actived their page on http://www.google.com/phone. Today, you can buy a Nexus One (GSM ) with a contract in T-Mobile for $179 or an unlocked one for $529, which you can use on AT&T's network (but only on its EDGE data network, not 3G). Google is shipping phones to the U.S., UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

They also revealed that the Nexus One is coming to Verizon Wireless and Vadafone in Spring 2010. As an Android lover I can say that I’m really happy with these news. The Nexus One is a great phone, and I’ll definitely be switching to it once it’s available on Verizon Wireless. Verizon Nexus One will be CDMA !

Android users: Are you going to be getting the Nexus One ? I’d prefer Motorola Droid than Nexus One because the Droid has an extra physical keyboard ( And I don't have to pay for Motorola Droid 'cause I received a free Motorola Droid from here )

Rory Markas, passed

Rory Markas - one of the Angels' play-by-play announcers since 2002 - has died, apparently of a heart attack

Markas, 54, made the memorable call of the final out of the 2002 World Series, as Darin Erstad camped under a fly ball in centerfield: "Erstad says he's got it! Erstad makes the catch! The Anaheim Angels are the champions of baseball!"

Markas had returned to the Angels' booth this season after suffering a blood clot in his brain in November 2008, as discussed in this story by Diane Pucin.

Markas, a longtime Southern California broadcaster, also had announced games for USC and the Clippers and had worked for Channel 2, Channel 11 and Prime Ticket.

This is a sad, sad day for Angels fans, and another season marked with loss. My thoughts and deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. Angels fans everywhere are with you in your mourning today.
